My name is Brody Dunn. I am a 17 year old 6’ 1, 170 LB center back high school senior from Western Pennsylvania outside of Pittsburgh. This is my second year living independently in Bradenton, Florida and playing soccer for IMG Academy. At IMG, I am essentially already functioning as a college student - responsible for myself being on time for soccer, school, and maintaining my nutrition and training. As the youngest of eight children, I have learned patience, perseverance, the importance of honesty, and the ability to listen to other points of view in moving forward with my own goals. I intend to study Business in college and pursue a career in Finance.
Ever since I was I was 10, I have been training every day to make my dream a reality. My leadership skills and my work ethic make me superior to other players on and off the field. I have always wanted to play soccer at a higher level. Starting with club soccer from such a young age allowed me to grow my competitive spirit and love for the game. Having a ball at my feet and being in the moment on the field is the place I want to be. I believe that when I am on the field , I am able to show leadership and provide success and energy to any team that I am a part of regardless of being in the back of the field or playing where my team needs me. What sets me aside from other players is my ability to keep my head in the game. I am able to stay collected and play the game as I normally do without losing composure whether the opponent is playing dirty, or the refs or even my own teammates are not at their best. Staying calm minded and focused helps me provide effective communication to myself and others around me in stressful times no matter the challenging situation.
