Malte Koerber '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Malte Koerber, and I am a passionate soccer player born and raised in Wolfsburg, Germany. Growing up in Germany, soccer was an integral part of my life, and I started my youth soccer career there when I was just a child. However, my family moved from Germany to Florida, USA, when I was 12 years old, and my soccer journey took a new direction.

After moving to the US, I continued to pursue my passion for soccer and started playing competitively in the Tampa Bay area. I have played for several clubs, including Wesley Chapel Soccer Club, Sporting Tampa Bay Football Club, and Florida Premier FC. Currently, I play for the IMG Academy 2007 Boys team, where I continuously strive to improve my skills and develop as a player.

My dedication to the sport is evident in my time training with my team. I train five times a week, dedicating five or six days a week to my passion for soccer. I believe that this dedication and hard work are essential to becoming the best player I can be. The sport is not just a game for me but a way of life I am committed to pursuing.

Playing soccer has taught me valuable life lessons such as discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. These qualities have helped me not only on the soccer field but also in other aspects of my life. I have learned the importance of setting goals, working hard to achieve them, and never giving up, even when things get tough.

My passion for soccer has also allowed me to form meaningful relationships with my teammates, coaches, and other players.
