Nathaniel Kennedy '23 Recruiting Profile

I am Nate Kennedy and my passion is soccer.  Soccer is what I have grown up playing since the age of 3.  I have been a goalkeeper since the age of 7 where my first club team was the Baltimore Bays.  The main draw for me to come to IMG Academy in 2018 was to be able to play DA soccer in a residency environment while developing my GK abilities.  

Before coming to IMG Academy, I was the starting GK for my team at the Baltimore Celtic soccer club for 3 years where my team was ranked between #1 & #4 nationally during my time with the team.  This team also qualified for regionals both years of age eligibility.  I have also played and trained internationally in Argentina, Denmark, England, Portugal and Spain to strengthen my ability to compete against diverse playing styles.

My primary goal is to become a top college GK.  One aspect that I am hoping helps me achieve this is by maintaining a strong academic presence. Currently, I have a 3.8 cumulative GPA and an adjusted GPA of 4.2. I am a very strong team player and this is demonstrated by leading my team from the back during match play and training.  My volunteer time is centered on working with special needs children, and adults and homeless individuals.
