Hi, my name is Sabu Portman. I currently attend boarding school at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. As a kid, I always had dreams of playing at the college level and I still do. I am willing to do whatever it takes, both academically and athletically to fulfill that dream. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity and will prepare me for many other obstacles that I will face in life. I want to attend a college that is both challenging academically and athletically, and I would also like it to be a college that best prepares me for my future career, whatever that may be. The one thing you will never have to question about it is how bad I want it. Even if I have an off day athletically, I will still be one of, if not the hardest working guy on the field. My strengths on the field include 1v1 defending, breaking lines, switching of play, heading, long balls, and an extremely loud game voice. I strive to be a leader, and two of the main things that come with that title is hard work and a ton of communication with my teammates and coaches, on and off the field. I hope to become a role model to my college coaches, teammates, future kids, and family.
