Greetings Coach,
My name is Michael Szafranski. This personal statement is to inform you of my availability as a student-athlete for the upcoming 2014-15 academic school year. I am searching for a good academic and soccer program and request more information from your program if you find that you have an interest in me.
I graduated from high school in Spring Hill Florida, a north suburb of Tampa, in 2012 as the district's top forward. Our team lost in the Florida state quarterfinals that year. I matriculated into Ferrum College in Virginia in the fall of 2012 and played one year at the division III level. I was "one of the hardest working players and with one of the best work ethics on the team", according to head coach Pauly. A letter of release is on this profile and available to you from me upon request. I took the following year off for personal reasons but still have three years of eligibility left. I have kept in excellent playing condition the past year by continued training and playing club ball at the premier level, scoring 24 goals in 14 games. During this past academic year, I also coached my high school's varsity soccer team to a record of 16-1-3 and won conference. I am also a certified USSF referee.
My past soccer experience includes, playing at the competitive Division I/Premier level for 14 years and participating/training in the Zico Cup in Brasil in 2010. My team was coached by Steve Sampson and I was fortunate to score a goal against the U-16 Kazakhstan national team. I continually strive to improve my skills and mental game and this summer I will be participating in a week-long training program coached by top-level English Premier League coaches and training personnel. This training program will be attended by players from around the world.
As of note, my video on this profile is very much outdated and is by no means an accurate reflection of my current abilities. I have since elevated my skills and mental game to a much higher level. I would like to say that soccer is not an interest of mine: it is a passion. I play my position as a true forward and I am searching for a program that is in need of one. I can assure you that my work ethic and dedication will be of the highest level on the pitch and in the classroom. I am searching for a program that will challenge me to bring out the best I have to offer and in return to help the team the best that I can. I will be a student-athlete that you and the school can be proud of.
If you find that you have an interest in me, please don't hesitate to contact me via email or phone at [email protected] or 727-457-7038. An alternate number is my father's cell at 727-808-9335. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Michael L Szafranski
