Nehemiah Dancy '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi,

    My name is Nehemiah Ajani Dancy and I'm an attacking midfielder from Hollywood, FL.  I currently attend NSU University School in Davie, FL and apart of the graduating class of 2021.  Since I was a little kid, I've always had the dream of playing on my high school team, from then on to the collegiate level, and God-willing to the professional level. Growing up with two hard-working parents, they've always told me to work twice as hard, not on the field, but also in the classroom.  As a student-athlete, I continue to keep that promise by averaging a 3.6 GPA score, while currently enrolled in majority Honors/AP classes.  Also, one of my hidden talents no one really knows about me is that I'm a good violin player.

    One thing that makes me different from other recruits is my competitive spirit and my hunger to be challenged. I'm always ready to be pushed, worked harder, and driven to be better than I was before. My passion for soccer has mentally changed me into becoming a better man and taught me valuable lessons. I would like to play on the collegiate stage with a program that not only plays at a high and competitive level but also helps me academically.  Athletically, I'm a very strong athlete, as I'd also like to credit Track and Football (2 other sports I've played) for helping me increase my speed and strength, something that I believe sets me aside physically from the rest of the recruits. 

     I try to carry myself on and off the field with the utmost respect for others, along with many great values my parents have taught me. My composure during crucial times of the game and my respectful attitude towards my teammates, coaches, and opponents would contribute to any college program I play on. Soccer is my focus and I hope the program I play for feels the same way. I'm a good listener and I'm very coachable, always wanting to know where I messed up, what I can do next time, and how to be a better player.

    I'm very confident in my abilities to become an elite competitor, a great teammate, and a strong leader to whatever school I have the blessing to represent after my high school career.
