Hello, my name is Mason Clark. I started playing soccer at a very early age and it quickly became a large part of my life and one of my biggest passions. I credit the sport for shaping me into the man I am today as it has instilled in me a strong work ethic, accountability, time management skills, respect for those around me, and a positive attitude. I've involved soccer in several aspects of my life including, but not limited to school, clubs, and community service.
As I continue onto my higher education, one of my biggest goals is to earn my degree while playing with a competitive collegiate program. I believe I am a good fit for any soccer program because I am very versatile on the field and can play several positions; I respect authority, am hardworking, and I'm a leader on and off the field. I'm a supportive teammate and bring enthusiasm to the game.
I stand out from other recruits with my strong work ethic, fitness level, work rate and leadership skills, which make a positive difference on any pitch I play. One main advantage I have on the field is my size, which is helpful when I play older opponents. I am quick on and off the ball, have good field vision, and maintain my stamina. Additionally, my deep understanding of the game allows me to think on my feet as I read the game, create skillful plays, and maximize opportunities by taking advantage of the opposing team's weaknesses. I pride myself on my accuracy in aerial plays (i.e. headers) and am particularly adept in switching the field and crossing.
Along with soccer, I value my academics and seek to challenge myself by taking engineering and STEM electives. Ultimately, I'd like to pursue a degree in business and hope to play soccer for as long as possible.
