Doug Halsema '20 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing soccer since I was 5.  I still enjoy playing and watching soccer.  I knew when I was in 9th grade on my high school JV team that I wanted to keep playing soccer after high school.  My teammates on my high-school and club teams are what makes the game special to me.  I want to be part of a team that works together to achieve their goals - and to win soccer matches.  My goal is to play at the college level and graduate from a college that has a strong soccer tradition and a great academic program.  I would make a good candidate for your team because I work hard on the field and in the classroom now and will work even harder in college to achieve my goal.  I also want to represent the strength of my team and importance of my school's academic's to the teams we play against and to the fans that watch the matches. I know that being a student comes first and playing soccer comes next, but I know if I continue to work hard I can be successful at both and keep playing soccer until I graduate.
