“The things that we Love, tell us what we are." Thomas Aquinas.
A Glance Inside.
Hello, I am Isaac, a soccer player, guitarist, budding scholar, and entrepreneur. I am an energetic young man from St. Augustine, Florida raised in a loving, homeschooling, fun and faithful family by two Navy veterans.
At the age of five I started “kicking the ball” around and soon became fascinated with soccer. I continue to play club ball with Florida Elite at a competitive level, playing the full ninety minutes for my ECNLR U17 Boys team. I have helped with coaching and even done clinics for younger players along with refereeing. I placed second for juggling in my club a few years ago. Soccer will continue to be a part of my life and I look forward to playing at the next level in college.
I picked up an acoustic guitar around the age of 10 and never let go. Currently rock and electric guitar reverberate throughout my home. ACDC, Bob Seger, and Queen are some of my current favorites. I play by ear and read music. It is a great way to stay grounded and explore my creative side through music. I am always honing my skills and many a “jam” session and countless hours are spent with my brother in dueling riff wars. “rock on man”.
Learning is Life and I Love learning. School can be challenging but extremely rewarding. Unlocking the secrets of complex math equations, understanding new concepts, or seeing chemistry in action are wonderful and just all around cool. I am now in my second year of ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) mentorship program in Jacksonville, Florida. It was a difficult year as Covid-19 struck and in class participation ceased, but my team converted to virtual and were able to successfully finish our project on time. Bonus!! We were noted to be one of the more creative new ideas and building/project in the last several years and were awarded special notice by the reviewers. This year I am the lead for my team of six and working on a Tiny Home concept.
Entrepreneur is part of what I want to be known for in life. Elon Musk, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Walt Disney, and Jeff Bezos are just a few of today’s great leaders whom I believe helped change not only their own lives but the lives of countless of other people worldwide for the better. My first business was “Two Boys and Some Eggs” started with my brother at the age of nine. It grew to around fifty free ranging chickens, all natural and no antibiotics. It definitely taught me about hard and good work ethics and responsibility. My parents helped me with the books, and encouraged me to market the product to friends, family, and neighbors. This actually led to learning about investments and stocks around age eleven. After moving to Florida, I switched gears and started a dog walking/sitting service for the last couple of years. I am exploring options for my next step/business opportunity hopefully in mechanical engineering and medicine.
Bottom Line. I am looking for a great college atmosphere to help launch me to a brighter future. Is it You? I hope so.
