For me, soccer like life, is about surpassing challenges. While I have always had talent, I was apprehensive to step on the field and show the coach what I could do at my first U9 tryout. I overcame my self-doubt and soccer has taught me the importance of challenging myself to the limits on and off the field. I have been able to play at an elite level under some of the best coaches in Florida. I have enjoyed the thrill of winning a number of prestigious tournaments alongside teammates who I now consider friends. Soccer provided me the opportunity to train with and compete against top-tiered teams in Buenos Aires, Argentina including Racing and Lanus. While I like many players dream of playing professionally, I recognize such a dream is far-fetched. Accordingly I have challenged myself academically by enrolling in AP and Honors classes. I recognize academics is what will bring me to where I want to go in life and I plan on challenging myself academically at the next level as well.
My many years playing soccer have taught me the importance of cooperation, collaboration and teamwork. These skills will hopefully allow me to maximize the college experience and whatever the future may hold.
