Zadkiel (Zaki) Goes '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zadkiel “Zaki” Goes and I am a student athlete.  I began my soccer career at the age of six, and have developed an unbeatable passion since.   I live and breathe this sport.  My ambition to make this my career has come with challenges and  unbelievable personal rewards. 

I play L/R winger and L/R Outside back.  This position requires speed, quick thinking and field vision to accurately deliver the ball to the attacking players — I possess  all three.   During my last combine (Aug2023),  I was the fastest in my club for the 05, 06 and 07, and during The Donosti Cup Madrid 2023 international tournament, I played the number 11 position and scored 3 goals. In my league this month I played as an outside back and  blocked many attackers from scoring while managing to take the ball in the box and score three goals! I understand the importance of utilizing these skills during games to help my team win, and much of my assistance has resulted in goals. 

Additionally, I understand the importance of taking care of my body so it can respond at a moment's notice. I give my body the strengthening, rest and diet it needs to respond to the demands of this very competitive sport. I not only train with the club, but also with a speed/explosion trainer and a strategy/mobility/recovery trainer. I not only do this for myself, but also for my team. I want to be sure I give my 100% effort to them at all times. 

I have been a DA player and played a few years abroad. It was challenging managing school abroad and now back here in the states, but I’m focused and always wanting to improve myself. I am enrolled in Honors classes and have tutoring once a week to make sure I maintain excellence in my schooling. I don’t leave anything to chance and believe hard work produces great results, both on and off the field.

This amazing journey has molded me to be the strong player I am today! I’m ready to represent your school with passion, dignity and respect. I am a competitive player and want to play at the highest level. I promise to continue to grow and develop as a player, to become an example student athlete and teammate, on the pitch and in my classes.
