Jacob McDonald '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob McDonald and I am a Senior at Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, Florida.  I have played soccer my entire life.  I am Captain for my High School and Club (West Florida Flames) playing forward and center midfielder.  I consider myself a very diverse player that can play any position as needed.  I believe that I bring a unique style to the game, looking for the undercover passes and trying to see my teammates before the play has come to me.  I am a hardworking player that can pick up a teammate if they are down.  I will work on anything that coaches need me to improve, such as my passes or runs.  It is my goal to understand everything about the game, be a leader, and be the best athlete.   I was voted most valuable teammate on my varsity team in both Freshman and Sophomore years,  and Offensive MVP my Junior year.  I was aslo selected for First Team All-Conference Federal Division. 

Academically, I work hard in the classroom.  I have a 4.5 weighted GPA and strive to continue improving that average the entire way through high school.  I look forward to the challenges that high school holds.  I will work hard while at Bloomingdale and I will put my grades before the sport I love; always willing to take any tutoring if it is needed.  I am still undecided on what to major in at university, but I am researching that intensely.  I am currently leaning toward a Sports Management or Business degree.  Thank you for reading this short description of myself, I hope I’m that extra something that universities are looking for in the future.
