I started playing soccer when I was 4 and I have played it ever since. I will play it whenever and wherever I can because of how much I love it. I have been fortunate to be able to play in a variety of positions, but where I truly excelled is playing goalie. Soccer has allowed me to go to places I would have never gone before, meet new people, and make great friends. Soccer is more than a sport to me, because of what it has allowed me to do. Because of this, I want to continue this love and make better myself by playing soccer in college. Even though I have played for multiple teams and in multiple positions, it is and always will be my favorite sport.
In the classroom, I believe that I am a very good listener and can easily understand topics. This has helped me achieve all A's throughout my schooling. I feel like this translates well onto the soccer field because I can easily understand what coaches are telling me to do, and then go and do it. I also feel like that to be successful in soccer, you must have a very good understanding of the game, and be able to see things that other people cannot. I believe that because of my good grades in school, that I have a higher understanding of the game. Also, being a goalie and having to direct your teammates to where they need to be has made me a great leader on and off the field.
