Jonathan Hernandez '25 Recruiting Profile

My  name is Jonathan Hernandez, I have set my academic and athletic goals. Before I get to explain my goals, I would like to explain a little bit of my background

I am the son of two hard-working parents who have taught me that anything I put my mind to I can achieve, and that there will  always be obstacle in my path. I can overcome whichever obstacle that is in my path if I set my mind to it , work hard and be determined to overcome the obstacle in my path 

Academically I have always strived to achieve the best grades in each of my classes. I would like to major in the field of being an Civil Engineer and my ambition is to become one of the best Civil Engineers in the United States . 

Since the first time I saw my Dad play soccer, I fell in love with the sport of soccer. I started playing soccer as an striker but come to know that the position that will satisfy was being a goalkeeper. What made me fall in love with being a goalkeeper was that that there is no margin for error and it taught me that making mistakes is part of the game of soccer and you learn from the mistake that you make. The position of being a goalkeeper made me fall in love with the adrenaline, the feeling of being under the 3 posts, and not knowing where the ball is coming from and that it can come at any speed at you. My goals as a goalkeeper and a athletic is to play at the highest collegial level and one day become a professional soccer player
