I have been playing soccer since I was three years old. Soccer started as a passion that my father, who played at a collegiate level, and I shared. I have grown to love and appreciate what this sport brings to me through the many coaches and friends I have made. I have always been motivated to continue learning and expanding my skills at the most competitive level. My goal is to play soccer at the collegiate level.
As an attacking outside back, I have mastered four critical elements of my game. Physically, I am a quick and fast player on the ball and while making overlaps as the outside back. My game revolves around my ability to cross, join the attack, and my vision to pick out a pass. I am very good at joining the attack and then quickly backtracking to my position on defense to intercept an opponent’s play. I can play with both feet, so I can be on either side of the field. I am a very coachable player, very hard-working, and committed. As a captain, I am the leader of the team. I push myself and my teammates to provide our best efforts on the field and maintain a respectful relationship off the field.
I play soccer year-round. I play for Gwinnett Soccer Academy (GSA) ECNL RL and the Decatur High School Varsity Soccer Team. I am the starting outside back for both. In the mornings, I go to the weight room and train on my own. I am very dedicated and strive to push myself every day whether in the weight room or on the pitch playing soccer.
I am a very committed student. As an IB Diploma student and candidate, I value and work hard to maintain a high GPA. I was inducted into the National Honor Society as a junior. I am part of the leadership team for the Decatur High School SkillsUSA chapter. Specifically, I am the treasurer of the chapter. Also, I am a data analyst engineer intern at Working Buildings Company. As an intern, I work on-site at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In my local community, I am an avid volunteer and aim to help others in the community.
I am a role model for younger developing athletes. For the past five years, I have had a fantastic opportunity to coach kids ages three to ten alongside some of my previous coaches.
My goal is to play Division 1 soccer while pushing myself in the classroom. I would like to pursue a major in engineering. I want to be involved in university events and provide my best efforts in school and on the pitch. I wish to be seen as an example for my younger sisters academically and athletically when going to college.
