I started playing soccer when I was 4 years old. Between 4 and 10, I played other sports too, including football, basketball, lacrosse, and baseball. Soccer was the sport that caught my eye, I loved having the ball at my feet and enjoyed how different it was to other sports and how few of my friends played it. Most of my friends played basketball and football. Soccer made me feel special. This feeling is also why I chose to play keeper. I love to be unique and the pressure of the position makes me enjoy it even more. The mental challenges make me thrive, the feeling of making a big save makes me feel better than scoring a goal. The tension in the atmosphere after I concede makes me want to work harder and learn more. When it comes to soccer I aspire and strive to play at the highest level that I can. I also hold myself to a high standard athletically and academically. I believe that if I don’t hold myself to a high standard then I will never get better. In order to improve myself on and off the field I must push myself to my limits. I will bring leadership, adaptability, and mental toughness to any organization.
