My name is Zachary Adkins, class of 2022, and am looking for a college that will challenge me both athletically and academically. My goal is to become a top player on the field and high achiever in the classroom.
I am a dual-sport athlete playing both soccer and football. I play for the top soccer team (ECNL) at Concorde and am a 4.5 star rated kicker by Kohl’s Kicking. I like to put myself in challenging environments so I can learn from those who are better than me and improve my game. I have been playing on top teams since U12 Academy and have switched from being one of the top goal scorers playing right back to a strong and steady center back with an accurate long ball.
I am a quiet yet confident leader who always tries to be a good example and team player. I am passionate about being on the field and playing my part to not let my team down. I think this trait would transfer well into a school with good academics and a competitive soccer environment.
Although I am not the most flashy player on the field, I am reliable, versatile and can play any position when needed. My quiet confidence and consistent performance keeps me calm and collected during high pressure situations on the pitch.
I think my strongest three traits on the field are long balls, headers and bodying. My coaches would describe me as athletic, coachable and hard working.
