Ever since I have been playing soccer at the age of 5 I have come to love it, grow a passion for it, and learned a lot from the sport. Through the countless hours of practice and overcoming hardship, I am very happy I fell in love with the beautiful game of soccer. I love being a defender because being able to defend the goal and shutting down players from a breakaway to being the hero to save the ball while putting in hard tackles to win the ball is the best feeling in the world. In high school, I was given the best defender award and as a freshman, I played and started in some varsity games Being a defender is what I am, to have the discipline to know when to step to the ball and not being reactive but being proactive to always be ready before the counterattack happens. Organization and communication are key to being successful in the back line to make sure we're always shifting with the ball and marking the man so that we are not flat. Outside of soccer I carry these skills into the classroom and these skills help me be successful, especially with what I want to major in college which is Mechinacl Engineering. I'm in the top 200 out of 800 people of my school being invited and accepted into National Honors Society because I have a cumulative average of 93.150 and being invited and accpected into National Spanish Honors Society because I had an A in my Spanish class for two years. Half of my day of school, I spend my time in teams working with others in a class called Manufacturing teaching us how to handle a job in the real world and work mainly hands on with projects that we build. I am very competitive with soccer and school to always be the best player and student I can possibly be. I am very involved in my church helping. It has been five years since we started it and it has grown a lot from starting in a theater to having our own property to serve others and give back to our community. Soccer is a big part of my life and I love the sport because I love the passion I get from it, the competitiveness I have for the sport, and just simply how happy it makes me so I want to keep playing as long as possible.
