Personal Statement

Hello Coaches and Recruiters,

My name is Travis Bartich, class of 2025. Since I was five years old, I have been a soccer player. For the past eight years, I have specialized as a goalkeeper. This year, along with playing varsity soccer, I have been the varsity kicker for Boise High School. In my very first football game, I had the opportunity to kick a game winning field goal and help our team get a “W” against a rival we had not beat since 1988. The experience is a memory I will never forget.

Throughout the season I have kicked field goals, kickoff’s and PAT’s, but feel confident punting as well. Playing football and soccer have taught me to collaborate with a variety of  teammates, hold myself accountable to do my job, and stay on task as a student-athlete. I thrive best in tough situations and bring a sense of calmness to my teammates, especially when stakes are high.

Being a part of a football program that is competitive and supports the student-athlete is what I want to be a part of. Please checkout my highlight videos and I welcome any feedback.

Thank you,

Travis Bartich

Coach's Comments A coach should look at Travis because he is a player that has a good attitude and ability as a player. His attitude will be good in any locker room environment and help any team culture grow. His attitude towards training creates good social habits, meaning he will contribute to the team’s environment by staying positive and hard working. ball control - working on your ball control is going to help you keep the ball so you can pass and help your team progress the ball forward passing - a good passing ability is important and a fundamental football action to help your team advance the ball forward (pass heel, clipped ball, ball speed, driven ball, set piece service, etc.) footwork - Adjusting the width of your feet will allow you to adjust your footwork depending on the area of the goal you are in and the angle the positioning of the opponent with ball.
