Hello, my name is Jacob Charters and I am a part of the graduating class of 2023 at Hinsdale South Highschool. I started playing soccer in fifth grade and immediately fell in love with the difficulty of the sport as well as the amazing coaches and players I had alongside me. The sport has taught me many important life lessons such as hard work and how to overcome obstacles and I feel I still have much to learn from the game. That being the major reason for my desire to be a college athlete, is for the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love while making amazing memories with my coaches and teammates.
I hope to accomplish this by the constant work I am currently putting in with my high school and club team. While on these teams I make sure to be a leader on and off the field with constant hard work as well as my coachability and always asking questions in desire for improvement. The hard work also carries over to my classwork as I have a 4.88 GPA and am constantly working hard.
My overall goal is just to play college soccer, no matter where or what division, just to be given the opportunity to continue my desires. I also value my education and hope to major in biomedical engineering and do not want to sacrifice my education.
