Hello, my name is Zachary Heitkemper and I am from Huntley, Illinois. I recently entered the NCAA transfer portal after a successful fall soccer season at Division II North Greenville University (SC). I am looking to transfer for a better academic fit while hoping to find a new home to play soccer for the next 3 years.
I graduated in May 2023 from Huntley High School (suburb of Chicago, IL). I am 5 feet 10 inches and weigh 155 lbs.
My senior year of high school was a year full of accolades—-All Fox Valley Conference, All-Area first team by both Daily Herald and Northwest Herald, and the coveted All-State award from the IL High School Coach‘s Assoc
I will be playing USL2 this upcoming Summer 2024 with River City Lights FC.
I am hoping to find a better atmosphere and surround myself with players that will help me improve my skill set for my lthe remainder of my college career.
I am a leader on the field by communicating effectively to my teammates and helping them try to position themselves to gain advantage of space on the field. I am looking to attend a college or university where I can continue to grow as a player, enrich my educational studies and be a better person for the world . My academic success in the classroom and my athletic success on the field make me a strong candidate to play college soccer while studying to be a physical therapist.
I play center back, outside back and midfield, but I can easily adapt to play any position on the field due to my ability to read the game and move where it is necessary.
