Personal Statement

My sophomore season was the best soccer season of my soccer career, but not for the reasons one might expect. Normally, a sophomore on the varsity squad getting good playing time and scoring two goals would be enough reasons to qualify as a great season. Playing in the Class 1A Indiana High School State Championship game made it even more so. And still, after all this, what I will remember the most from this amazing season are my teammates. I learned so much from them, especially the seniors. They brought out a competitiveness in me that I didn't know I possessed. For example, I learned putting in extra hours of strenuous and gut-wrenching work  pushes your athletic abilities to new heights. The extra work I put in paid off for me and my team. I experienced first hand what happens when you have a strong work ethic. The most encouraging part is I now know I can only get better if I keep putting in the work.

My goal is to continue to work hard and improve so I will earn the opportunity to play the sport I love at the college level. While being a college soccer player is a personal goal, my achievement as a student is also critically important to me. My academic success in high school will help me earn the opportunity to choose the best college environment for me. To achieve this goal I continue to push myself in the classroom as well. I intend to graduate high school at the top of my class, a goal I am close to achieving by being in the top 5 of my class. In college, I plan to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine/Physical Therapy.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
