Personal Statement
I am a 2025 US citizen who plays as a CM for Al Jazira U19 in the UAE. What makes me different? I could write all the things coaches want to hear; good teammate, hard worker, respectful, honest all of which I am. But what really sets me apart is my approach to the game I love. I see everyday as an opportunity to improve. Yes, I know it sounds cliche, but if you were to ask any of my coaches, teachers, peers, or teammates they would say the same thing. I am extremely dedicated to be the best I can be both in the classroom and on the pitch. Im always the first in at training either doing gym work, discussing with the coaching staff my development, going through film or working individually on my technique.
A quote I live by everyday:
"You don't become confident by telling everyone you are, but by having a stack of undeniable proof that you are who you say you are. Outwork your self doubt"
Now that you now a bit about what makes me tick here is my stack of undeniable proof, so far.
I currently play for the Al Jazira U19s/U21 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Al Jazira is a top flight team in the ADNOC Pro League and is owned by Sheik Mansour, Manchester City Owner. I can play anywhere in the midfield with box to box being my primary position. I am comfortable in different systems such as 4-3-3 (with two sixes or one), 4-4-2, and 4-1-4-1. Prior to moving abroad in 2019 I lived in California for 10 years playing for Santa Barbara Soccer Club, which is now part of MLS Next. I am a California resident and looking forward to returning to the United States to play college soccer.
I am a Junior (Class of 2025), at the British International School of Abu Dhabi, with a GPA of 4.0. Over this past summer I took my IGCSE's averaging an 8.1/9 across all my subjects. I am currently predicted a 38/45 points in my International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), where I take Higher Level Economics, Biology and Sports and Exercise Science.
- Captained my team to first player at the British International Schools of Middle East (BSME) U19 Championship in 2023
- I was part of the Talented Player Pathway (TPP) at Manchester City Academy in Abu Dhabi
-I was selected for the Exact 11, a prestigious nomination to the top Exact ID camp recruits, to train and play in Europe for a week.
I am an extremely hard working person both on the pitch and in the classroom. I am also very adaptable, attentive, competitive and eager to learn. One of my strongest attributes as a player is my technical ability, fitness, communication and game IQ.
