Personal Statement
My name is Mohamed Selim, a 2025 graduate from the American Community School of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I am American originally from Egypt, however I have lived overseas for the majority of my life. The position I excel in the most is midfielder, specifically CAM I was the only freshman selected to play on the Varsity football team for my high school. Although I am sixteen years old, I’m currently playing in the top local football club called Al Jaziera in Abu Dhbai. I’m also a thriving student and an overall leader in both academics and sports. I am a very technical player, who is both skillful and powerful. My international experience has empowered my football skills and enabled me to serve a greater purpose to my community. I’ve managed and organized multiple football games at my school in order to raise money for children in need in the Middle East. I’ve also collected and donated football jerseys (in which I partnered with a former coach of mine) to have them delivered to children in need in Uganda, Africa. I am extremely dedicated towards achieving my life goals both on the field and off the field. I would consider myself a well-rounded individual who is incredibly hard-working and passionate towards football.
