Personal Statement
I am a player who has often been described as the "engine room" of the team due to my stamina, football IQ, and passing ability. I have been the captain of my varsity team since my second year in high school, leading them in participation in various school tournaments and games in Abuja. In addition, I also captain my local soccer academy, Pacers Soccer Academy. Cultivating a deep passion for the game of soccer, I am committed to constantly improving, and testing myself among the best players possible. I am not known to be someone who desires to settle and revel in my success. My grades, for one, indicate that I always seek the best for myself and that I am more than capable of balancing academics, as I maintain a 3.7 cumulative GPA, and my athletic aspirations. On the field of play, I am no slouch. I give 110% every time I step on the field. Know that even when I do not play my best, I still strive to perform the best in the areas I can control.
I am an attack-minded midfielder, always looking for ways to advance the game, create chances, and give my team an advantage, be it through a pass, a defensive play, a shot on goal et cetera. I am a good leader who takes initiative and responsibility on the field of play, demanding high standards from my teammates and myself. My collegiate goal is to work my way up to play with the best schools America has to offer, making myself and my family proud. I would also aspire to play professional soccer through the collegiate route
