Personal Statement
As an American, I've had the opportunity to play overseas since 2012 because of my parents' service in the US military. My journey began when I moved to Aviano, Italy, and began playing for a local club team, Calcio Aviano. Playing in Italy for those 7 years is where I feel that I developed the most as both a soccer player and a person. I was fully engulfed in a new culture and had to learn to adapt. The program that I was a part of was one of a kind and led us to multiple divisional promotions and tournament wins. In 2017-2018 I was a USYS ODP Europe U-15 pool player and participated in an international trip to France, where we had friendlies against club teams from Montpellier and Lyon. In 2019, my varsity high school team took 2nd place in the Div2 DoDDs (Department of Defense Dependent Schools) European tournament my sophomore year.
Now living in Germany I have the opportunity to play for a Div1 DoDDs high school and play for better teams. Even though I had a hard time finding the right club and my high school season being canceled. I plan on perfecting my craft and doing my best to finish my senior year strong. I believe I have the talent, work ethic, and experience to play for a college team.
