Matthew Reismann '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matthew Reismann, I am born and raised in Germany. I am 6'4" and 205 pounds, left footer. I have played German club soccer since I was 4 years old. I attended a German school (In German language) from Kindergarten through 6th grade, American School (English language) from 7th grade -11th grade with a 2.6 GPA in High School and I am working to better that GPA this year to a +3.0 GPA. I am currently a Senior at Ramstein American High School. I plan to study International Business and or Sport Management in College after High School. I dream of playing soccer or being a football kicker in college during my studies.

Participating in a German adult soccer club is a year round commitment. Currently, I play forward with the Men's first team, TuS Glan-Munchweiler Fussball Mannschaft. The team plays every week on Saturday or Sunday and I am a starter for the men's first team. The German soccer club also includes charity functions which all team members participate in to include myself on certain holidays and special events.

I also play Varsity Soccer (forward) and Varsity Football (kicker) for Ramstein American High School at the same time. I have lettered since I was a freshman in both sports for football and soccer. I can kick +40 yard Field Goals and my kickoffs are into the end zone. 

During my freshman year in Varsity football I had scored more points than the offense in the DODDEA Championships to win the DODDEA  Championships for my team.

I speak English, German and Finnish languages fluently. I spent two summers as a Youth Church Leader for my Finnish Lutheran Church in Kouvola, Finland. I am interested to study in Massachusetts but I will study elsewhere in the U.S.A., my father is from Somerville, MA, studied at UMass Boston and is stationed with the U.S. Military in Germany. My Mother is from Finland and studied International Business at Business and Foreign relations in Helsinki, Finland. I have a brother who is a Senior at UMass Amherst and another brother who is a Freshman at CSU Stanislaus in California.  I made one soccer showcase at UMass Amherst last summer during my down time and I do not have a chance to make any more showcases in the U.S. due to my soccer team and Varsity Football team commitments so please view my video when you have time. I can also send you more videos if you would be interested. My time schedule is very tight due to studies and sport commitments.
