Personal Statement
Hello to whoever is reading this!👋🏻
I’m Ignacio Talavera, currently a 2025 freshmen from the American School of Asuncion.
Academically, I have received multiple Honor and Principal rolls, adding up to the prestigious Presidential Award back in (to confirm) grade. I also dispose of National Math OMAPA Competition awards from elementary school and a call to the TAG program in 8th grade. And a 96th percentile total score in 8th grade’s PSAT with a score of 1090.
And from the Sports perspective, I’m the starting goalkeeper for the Varsity Team. Again, as a freshmen. Alongside the school’s team, I also play in the sub-16 category of professional first division club Nacional F.C.
Personality-wise, I consider myself a hustler with an aspire to go after new things every day. And when I find a task to do, I put full focus on it to avoid fragmented effort. That explains both my academical and sport achievements. Also, I refer to myself as “the most extroverted introvert”. This is because although I make am involved in social activities and events, I’m rather awkward when people try to form a conversation. I admit that is something to improve further down the line. Still, I like to think I’m well-liked by the majority of people by just being myself. And that’s an aspect I’m proud of, that I don‘t try to win other people‘s approval by acting like someone I’m not.
