Personal Statement
Email [email protected] to contact me. I plan to gain a higher level of education and further improve my current set of skills. Before my junior year I did not take my education that seriously, I only focused on playing football. Recently I found a balance between both worlds and aim to continue to improve rapidly in all my future endeavors.
Here is the rest of my football/soccer story:
I first touched a football when I was 3 years old, competed and traveled age 7-13, and most recently have been playing at a high level against adults in the Thai leagues. I grew to love football through the sense of community it brings me. I've played football through asia and in the middle east. I value winning the SEA Cup, ACSC Conference (twice), ACSC Golden boot, and the BIYC Cup the most. I've been described as stubborn or overly passionate on the field but my coaches and teammates helped me learn to balance passion within my leadership role of captain.
I've had many mentors who have taught me to be disciplined in order to achieve success. I recall struggling to find motivation in my club team, especially when my friends had left or stopped coming for a prolonged period. It was difficult to join BSL's semi-pro team where football became more of a job rather than enjoyable sport with friends. I overcame it through my coaches and father's presence which I now look back to positively because it allowed for me to grow technically and mentally.
Football has helped me to get through every day of the week and I plan on taking my passion to the collegiate level. I hope to dominate and win more in the future.
