Personal Statement

My name is Noah Nielsen – I’m a soccer goalkeeper graduating in 2025 who wants to play professionally after completing a university or college degree.

I played goalkeeper at an early age because my older brothers and their friends would always put me in net when they wanted to play and I have grown to love this position. I have played competitively for the Calgary Rangers Soccer club for the past several years at the Tier 1 level. 

In August 2023, I moved to Barcelona, Spain where I lived, studied and played ‘futbol’ for the 2023/2024 school year. I made the difficult decision to move far away from home, friends and family because of my passion for the game. I believe that this experience has made me a better goalkeeper and team mate. I am also more organized, focused, independent and disciplined, which are traits that will serve me well when I study and play as the #1 goalkeeper at the post-secondary level.
