Personal Statement
Collegiate goals and aspirations: The main reason I am considering going to College in the US, is that it is the only
country where my dream of being exposed to high level soccer will still be possible while attending a reputable college.
Good candidate for their team: I have played in the Lebanese national league (for my age group) for 4 years now, and I have
participated in the Keele cup in UK twice, and I won the tournament with two age groups two years ago, and made it to the semi
finals this year (I also have videos of me playing in the Lebanese National League and can make more if needed).
What makes me different: - In character: for the past 3 years, I have been able to balance and to excel academically and athletically by keeping a high GPA, while hardly missing any training sessions.
In Athletics: I am left footed, and I can play in many positions (left wing, center midfield, right wing, and even striker), which is an advantage for the team and myself. I also have high work rates (defensively and offensively), and quite good on and off the ball. Moreover, I have won my school's athlete of the year award four times in secondary school
In Academics: My GPA is 4 over 4 (based on the NCAA conversion chart). I have taken the SAT reasoning test twice already, and have scored a total of 1990 over 2400 so far on it. I will take it again on Nov 8. I also took two SAT subject tests, with a score of 690 on math 2 and 650 on BIO. I will be taking the SAT subject tests again in December 2014.
