Personal Statement
I have a rich background, I started playing soccer at the age of 7, at a small club in Belgrade. For Balkan I have been a major player, in my last season for the team, I have scored 50 goals in 30 games, scoring 6 in a 6:2 victory against our title rivals. I have moved to a tier 1 club, BSK Borca, and scored 14 goals in 10 games in the half season, getting an invite to the biggest club in Serbia, Red Star Belgrade. I have moved to the Red Star, and had success over 3 years, winning the Serbian league, and 2 international tournaments, in both scoring 2 goals in the final against CSKA Sophia. I have a trophy for the best goalscorer of the tournament, I have 4 medals from 4 tournaments, and I have represented my team in London, at the Champions League final in 2013. I spoke in front of 300 people in the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Hall, in front of a legend that is Franc Backenbauer. There are a lot of coaches that can vouch for me, I'll have those recommendations on paper, even the executive and the manager of the Red Star. After those 3 years, since my parents are in a bad financial state, I had to move back to BSK, played for u19 while I was u17, and now I'm still playing for the u19, as I am u18. I have been offered a contract by BSK, but I had to decline duo to my wish to play College soccer, and get my college degree. It would really be a dream come true for me to go to a college, I believe that that is my way out of this poor state and a shot at a better life, for both me and my parents. I'll be ready to give it my all, considering that I'm from a small country in Europe, I'll have to earn my place, and I have no problem with that. My goal is to get a degree and have some stability, but my goal is to end up in the MLS, and I'll work towards that goal everyday.
