Personal Statement
My name is Rodrigo Tenorio I am 17 years old. I am from Mexico and a 2022 graduate from John F. Kennedy The American School of Querétaro. In the 2019-2020 season, I played in my school´s soccer team formed by sophomores, juniors and seniors, as a starting center midfielder. The team managed to win LIDEIP which is a league for private schools in Queretaro and Asomex that is a national tournament for American Schools in Mexico. That same season we finished 2nd in Superliga which is a league where soccer academies compete and managed to qualify as 1st place of the group in Conadeip (National tournament of all private institutions) before Covid arrived.
From 2017 to 2019, when I was 14 years old, I was recruited 3rd division club in called Libertadores where I played as an amateur for 2 years. The first year I was playing against people born in 1998 because that was the oldest generation permitted in the league. My parents and I decided that leaving the team was the best for me because I was constantly traveling with the team during weekdays and missing school classes.
This brings me to where I stand today. I believe that education is one of, if not the single most important factor in a person's development. I would love to compete in a high-level team that will help me grow as an athlete and as a student. I’m open to all opportunities that will help me accomplish my academic, athletic and professional goals.
