Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Martin Posse, I'm a Colombian soccer player. I was born on November 6, 2011. Soccer has been my passion since a little kid, I remember when I was a kid and going to the stadium to see our home club. I describe myself as a different goalie. I started playing as a defensive player, actually as a right-back player. I've tried every position in the field, and that has helped me to manage my footwork extraordinarily. When I tried the goalkeeper position I knew that it was what was meant for me. I've been playing goalie for almost 6 years. My dream as every soccer player was to achieve a professional level, although I had trials in a club in Spain, specifically in Getafe juvenile B team the opportunity left by some other external factors. Seeking what's best for my future, the soccer programs in the States are amazing, is almost what I dreamed one day. Training every day of the week, traveling to different cities to play, and having the opportunity to study a career at the same time is a privilege. I see myself as a great candidate because of the experience I have, playing in Europe, and in high-level leagues in my home town, have helped me to build a leader. Being able to see the whole field from the back, and see what others can't, are things that make me a leader, always leading from the back. Also, my footwork is an advantage because I'm able to give great passes, even sometimes an assist. Also because I know myself in a great way, I able to identify my strengths and weaknesses. I have to be honest, I'm not the best student, because in high school I couldn't find the right way to organize my times, until my last year. Although I'm a very responsible person, I'm always committed to my stuff and homework. I'm excited to start this new path in my life and have a great experience playing soccer in the US.
Saludos desde Colombia!
