Personal Statement
Hi there!
My name is Ike Ezeanyika, and I have been playing soccer competitively since I was nine years old in Germany, the UK and Poland. I believe in the transfer of excellence, from the soccer pitch to the classroom and vice versa, and use the discipline I have acquired playing soccer to help me maintain a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.
I am fortunate to have been accepted as a Soccer Scholar into the best soccer programs in the U.K at Bradfield College from which some of my former teammates are now playing for premier league clubs. Through the knowledge of my coach, Luke Webb, I have adhered strong leadership skills, accountability, responsibility and questioning, which allows me to benefit the team around me and for us to improve together.
I apply deep practice and learning to every training session (a term that my coach taught me that involves constantly analyzing my mistakes to see where I went wrong and where I can improve). Along with this, I make sure that everything I can do with one foot, I can do just as well with the other, which allows me to pass, shoot, cross and dribble just as well with my left as I can with my right foot allowing me to be effective from anywhere on the pitch. These qualities have allowed me to represent England in the Independent Schools Football Association national team as well as to be scouted by Fulham FC and Reading FC while playing for Bradfield. Despite being scouted by these academies, however, I decided that Bradfield College was the best place for me due its nurturing environment for both Education and Soccer.
In addition to my 4.0 GPA, my official IB predicted grade total is 45/45 points.
I addition to my my 2022/23 Season Highlights, I have a created playlist of me completing the "Bradfield College Football Program", Size 1 Basics, during Covid Lockdown.
