Personal Statement
Hi, I’m Leonardo, I’m 16 years old and live in Belgium.
I am in my last year of high school and I am looking at university options for next year.
I am looking for opportunities where I can continue using my football skills at a high level and study at the same time.
My goal is to play in D1 while having a good education and if the chance comes to sign pro, then I will.
Soccer is my passion. I’ve been playing football for 12 years so I am very experienced. I played as a forward when I was younger but since I’ve started playing 11 against 11 which has been 5 years now, I play as an attacking midfield and also sometimes alternate outside back.
I am very flexible in what positions I can play because I have played in several positions throughout my football career ( CAM, outside back, forward ). I’m very easy to coach, always attentive and always want to learn more. I don’t only think about myself when playing football also about the team so I will always act in a way that’s better for the team. I’m right footed but can also use the left , I have a really good shot so sometimes I take free kicks. I have the technical ability to keep the ball and create space to give a long ball and also bring high IQ to the field.
