Personal Statement
"When people success, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success" - Diego Maradona.
This quote has had a big impact on my life ever since I read it. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to pursue my dream of becoming a professional football player, and for me to realise this dream I must work harder than anyone and everyone to show that my ultimate success was down to my own drive.
I am a hardworking striker, strong into a tackle and able to keep up pressure on the opposition constantly, on the other hand I also have great ball control and a vision mostly seen in midfielders. I am very vocal on the pitch and will try to encourage my teammates, always hoping to teach them a from my perspective. My speed, and two footed ability alongside my tactical awareness of the game (elevated through my time as a coach) have allowed me to be a great footballer in my age group.
Off the pitch, I have maintained a high GPA, 3.3/4.0. In my lessons I always contribute and get homework in at high standards, sometimes even before the due date. I am currently the deputy head boy at my school
I want to attend a college that can cater for my needs both on and off the field. I want to truly feel at home, being able to attain a post graduate degree and whilst being allowed to pursue my soccer dreams. Ultimately I want to be able to enter adulthood with the best possible opportunity to build a great career and college soccer can help me achieve that.
