Personal Statement
I started watching and playing soccer on various schools and local teams when I was five. Since then, soccer has been my greatest passion. I've read countless of books on soccer, ranging from topics such as information on the art of defending to managerial books on the insight of tactics and the importance of fitness and nutrition in the modern game. From the moment I stepped foot onto the soccer field, I instantly fell in love. Everything about the sport intrigues me; the drama, the intensity, the goals. The sport has shaped me and taught me certain values and qualities. Soccer has developed me into a young man in various ways; it has improved my consistency and focus both on and off the field whilst also enhancing my leadership and teamwork abilities. Furthermore, it has also increased my academic efficiency and has motivated me to study Economics in university. There are few finer moments in life than achieving success through teamwork, overcoming the odds by sticking together and giving the team my all.
I'm a 6'1 foot 16 year old playing for the Varsity soccer team at Cairo American College. Throughout my high school years, I have been blessed to have supportive parents and coaches who have guided me both on and off the field. I will strive to do my best and I am dedicated to improve my outcomes in the classroom, on the field, or even in the weight room. I aspire to continue my development as a player and as person, and I am as committed as ever to working hard and representing my coaches, team, and school with drive and passion.
