Personal Statement
Winning the Texas State Championship as a sophomore was the greatest moment of my high school career. While winning the State championship is an outstanding task, The most significant event I grew off of most, was my move to Cairo, Egypt. That experience helped me become 10 times mentally stronger. The shift from winning it all in Houston, Texas to Moving back to my home country, Egypt, made me realize the outcomes of hard work and dedication and how I know I am capable of playing at the college level.
I came to Egypt facing a dramatic increase in competition. The only thing the others didn't have was the experience and lessons I experienced throughout my time in Houston. The journey to the championship was tough and against all odds. Our team wouldn't accept defeat and wouldn't give up. This thought me that no matter the competition if you want it bad enough and are willing to work hard enough, it will be yours. I am looking for a D1 scholarship at a good academic school to pursue my dreams of studying and playing college ball. Not only do I think I have the skills for your team, but I also have the determination, work ethic, and composure to have a significant impact on your team.
