Personal Statement
My passion for soccer has grown along with me since the day I first kicked a ball. I was in grade 3 when my feet got to learn about what soccer is and I always assumed it to be a part of me. My coach would say that I have an impressive ball control ability and that is how I got my position of midfielder. He recognized my skill and utilized my passing abilities of being able to drop the ball at the right spot from anywhere on the ground. He recruited me on a tournament my school conducts annually on my fourth grade and the next year wasn't any different, except for the improvement on my skills. He reckoned that I had been and amazing player throughout high school and would be a valueable asset to whichever college team I join.
I and my coach have a very friendly relation as I am a coachable athlete and I always look for places where I can improve myself. As nobody is perfect, my aim is to get to that position which is closest to perfection in soccer and I would respect and follow any personnel who would guide me and fill my space for improvement. I have led my high school team to many victories and consoled them with strength at times of defeat. And because of my nature and skills, I had been assigned the team captain for last two years of high school.
Soccer has given me so much and there is more to come. It is one of my dreams to play as a college athlete in US and devote myself to the team with the aim of leading my team to the top, no matter where the "top" means. Soccer has given me the identity of who I am today and influenced me in becoming a better person and a player.
