Personal Statement
Please allow me to introduce myself as Fernando Chromicky. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old. I currently play in the Spanish Third National Division. I am a flexible player who can play many positions within a team. For example, in my first season or year I played a centre back, now I mainly focus on playing on the Wing. In order to be effective and attack from both side of the pitch I have also changed the side from which I attack each season. I wanted to learn to play from both sides equally well, this has really improved my control, particularly whilst using my left foot. This experience has really improved my overall ability and I can now play varied roles for my team, in fact the current striker and other winger regularly switch positions to launch effective attacks and to complete our vital defensive duties.
I have always been a hardworking and motivated person, it is in my personality. I am in good shape, I also complete my own training schedule along with team sessions. I believe in a healthy diet, I understand to achieve my goal to become a professional player, many sacrifices may need to be made, I am truly willing to make those.
I would define myself as both a good team mate and an influential person, supporting the team both on or even off the pitch. As an athlete I am very fast and strong, this combined with good vision and awareness of the game makes me an effective player. I myself and my coach would not describe me as an aggressive nor problematic player. My disciplinary record speaks for itself, I have only received five yellow cards in my entire career to date and I have never a red card.
Academically I would describe myself as a good student and I have often been described by my teachers as a fast learner. I would love to continue my studies and keep learning. For these reasons I decided to apply to play college soccer; it would provide the opportunity to continue playing my favourite sport and study a subject that I am really interested in.
I believe I have the necessary skills, experience and determination to make a positive contribution to both your institution and the soccer team. I firmly believe I will make and have made teams better as I learn for them and they learn from me, that is what the significance of the word team means from me.
Outside of this I really enjoy water sports, I used to Flowboard professionally, I became 4th of the World in 2013, now I just Flowboard for fun.
