Personal Statement
I am senior attending Yokota High School in Fussa Japan. The school is located on Yokota Air Force Base, and competes against other schools on the Kanto Plain along with schools from Korea and Okinawa. I have attended 8 different schools, and played for a multitude of different soccer teams. I am currently the captain of the Varsity team at my high school, and lead the team in goals scored and was runner up for most assists last season. I previously lived in Stafford, Virginia, where I played for Colonial Forge High School and Stafford Soccer Club. Stafford Soccer competes in the NPL, and won the Virginia state title in 2020. I was also a captain on the Varsity football team and a captain on the Varsity wrestling team.
Apart from sports, I also look to challenge myself in the classroom. I have a 3.8 cumulative gpa, and have maintained above a 4.0 gpa for the past three years. I have enrolled and passed in four AP classes, and I am currently taking three more. I am also a member of the Student Government Association, National Honors Society, Chief editor of the school newspaper, and senior photographer for the school yearbook.
As someone who has lived in many different countries and attended different schools, I feel that my skills to adapt to new environments are keen. I have no trouble being thrown in a foreign environment, and I am constantly looking for opportunities to become involved in my community. If I was given the opportunity to play at the next level, I am sure that my skills as both a player and a person would be useful asset.
