Personal Statement
Since I was a child I have been physically preparing myself, by playing sports like swimming, baseball, and track and field. Standing out for my speed and winning 2 gold medals, one on sprints and one on relays, and a silver medal in long-distance, competing in local track and field tournaments. I started playing soccer when I was 13 years old, realizing that this was my greatest passion but, since I was playing with teammates that were playing since earlier than I was, I decided to train my speed, strength, endurance and agility, in order to be at a higher level like them. All of this together gave me the opportunity to be included at the main team on each of the three teams in which I played, playing at the positions of left fullback, right wing and central midfielder.
I consider myself as a good candidate due to my team work and determination, qualities that I consider as minimum requirements for practice a sport discipline at any level. Thus, my main objectives in going to study at the USA are to play soccer at the highest level, and to study design to become a professional at that area, while still practicing a sport.
At the academic level, I’ve always been at the top 10 students in my classroom, standing out in technical drawing. I have also studied music, and I play the guitar, the drums and a bit of piano.
My family has always taught me the importance of humbleness, and we are passionate about helping others and as members of a congregation, we have done and participated in many events in which we helped many needed persons, and that has always given me a great satisfaction.
I would like to fulfill my goals, by studying design at a USA university and practicing the sport I love, to be the best. I think that with determination and hard work you can make anything you propose.
