Personal Statement
My collegiate goal is to do something I love. I want to study Neuroscience because I am fascinated by the brain and would also like to play Varsity Soccer because it is the thing I love most in life. I grew up in a soccer loving family and have been playing soccer from a very young age.
I am very fast (I run the 100m dash in 11.4s). I can go up and down as a left-back. I can head the ball well and have a good vertical jump. I can shoot free-kicks with power and accuracy. Also, I have not missed a single penalty in a game for the last 3 years. My coaches tell me that I am a leader on their team. I understand tactical play and tell teammates what to do during games. I also defend very well which earned me MVP awards during my Sophomore and Junior years.
I always give 100% and look to win every single game. In school, I take the hardest classes that are offered so I can have a real challenge everyday. I always get on the honor roll, with positive comments from all my teachers.
If I had to choose one thing that made me stand out, I would choose my experience. I have played over 300 competitive soccer games in my life and have captained more than half of them. I know the sport very well and can adapt to any situation.
