Personal Statement
I am currently playing in the Division 1 league in the Republic of Ireland for the Mervue United men’s team. For the past year, I have been in the process of receiving offers and pursuing scholarships to take my studies overseas to the United States. It is the dream of any Latino soccer player to experience top-level competition every week and as well work hard for a college degree. I sat my SAT exam in December, scoring 1200. My GPA is an estimated 3.91 and I am hoping to enroll in your Architecture course. I have been playing soccer both in Brazil and Europe for over 12 years and had the pleasure of being called up for the Irish National Under-18 squad in 2020. The year before, we were national champions with Mervue United, and I was selected to play with the State team. I believe this is the right moment in my career to approach American colleges and I am excited to see the prospects.
