Personal Statement
I currently play for the youth team of Al Wasl FC, Dubai. Al Wasl is one of the top professional clubs in the United Arab Emirates FA League Division 1. Academically my grades are at the highest level in my school ; 4 A*’s and 4 A’s in my year 11 GCSE exams.
I was scouted by Al Nasr SC Dubai making me the only Indian player in the official UAE FA league, representing the Indian community which constitute over 27% of the population, bringing much needed diversity to the football culture in UAE. I was later picked up by Al Wasl FC with the aim of winning the UAE FA Youth league. I was also selected to the Du Laliga high performance centre at age 14 from over 7,000 school players. I was promoted to U16s and played a pivotal role in defeating the youth teams of Sevilla FC and Malaga CF, some of the top professional clubs in Spain, earning me trials at Malaga CF.
I am an attacking midfielder. My strengths are my ability to quickly convert a defensive possession into a promising attack and also create goal scoring opportunities in the final third. My weakness would be aerial battles which I continue to work on during my twice a day training session at Al Wasl FC.
