Personal Statement
Hey Coaches. My name is Ahmed Elshamy. I am a 16 year old soccer player hailing from Egypt, living in the United Arab Emirates, and I love soccer. I have kicked around a ball ever since I could use my own two feet. Soccer was an integral part of my life growing up and still is. Matches would always be on and my eyes would be glued to the television, watching Lionel Messi dribble past an entire team with ease or Arjen Robben doing his signature cut inside and shoot. Now is the time to take my love of the beautiful game with me and aim to play at the college level. I aspire to play NCAA soccer at some of the top colleges in the world, those who rank highly in both the athletic and academic sector. I would say what makes me a great fit for most teams is that the instant I step on the pitch, I give it my 100 percent. I play for the badge and pour my blood, sweat, and tears into helping the team get the victory. Even off the pitch, I strive to work on my body both physically and mentally. Being in the weight room is key as it aids to amplify my strength and prevent injury. Meditation is also an important factor in alleviating my potential, relieving me of all the pre-game stress.
