Personal Statement
At such a young age, I was given the ability and responsibility of being a team captain. At the age of 16 I was given the arm band to represent my varsity and club team. Obviously, given such responsibility, I learnt a lot. Some of which being character, discipline, and most importantly leadership. Given such trust from my coach, I had to always step up for my team and value them before I value myself. I would always try to inspire and motivate them, lead them to glory, and be the backbone of the team.
Being a student athlete also powered my role as a team captain as it took a lot of dedication and responsability. Being able to manage both football and my education was quite of a difficult task, however, pain nourishes courage. You cannot be brave if only wonderful things happen to you. Curriculum wise, I worked extremely hard to achieve the grades that I currently have, taking 2 IB classes and 1 AP class required a lot of work and concentration. Challenges of such enrich my hunger to work harder and strive to be the best version of myself. My father always mentioned to me that no man that works hard, won't be successful. So my goal is to always be the best version I could possibly become while also encouraging others to do the same. I am a person who is always looking forward to face a challenge or an obstacle that might seem complex to others, while also having the goal to become as successful as I could.
