Personal Statement
My name is Davoud Amiri I'm 19 years old and I play as a Midfielder. I am one of the most versatile players you will meet, I can play anywhere in the midfield and on the wing as I have the ability to make runs in behind. With explosiveness and an amazing first touch and ability to open the field and dictate the pace of the game, also very good at taking players on. I'm left footed but can also use my right foot pretty good. Give me the instructions and they will be done in game. I'm a quick learner and adapt quick. Skillful, technically gifted and accurate passes with a good vision. I can also lead a team as I was the Captain of my league winning Varsity team, after 16 years of not winning the league.
I've been playing Soccer my whole life, I was born into it. My whole family and cousins are all into Soccer. The passion, moments, togetherness and players that this sport has is what makes me love, one day I want to be the player that makes kids fall in love with this sport just the way I did. It's always been my dream to player on bigger stages of soccer and I believe NCAA is where my next step is to eventually go up the ladder. Every year soccer is becoming a bigger sport in the United States and I would love to be a part of that growth. I believe the United States has one of the best coaches and facilities to help me grow.
Growing up I always tried to have a good mentality, I used to play with guys much older than me so I had to be strong not just physically but also mentally. I know that there's always room to grow no matter how good you are. I'm often my number one critic and always try to play my best game, making my number 1 priority to win every game. I always try to make the team feel like a family rather than just a soccer team, that way the chemistry will always be there and everyone can adapt and play their best.
In my life I've always been told I have the talent and the potential, I've just never had the opportunities. Hopefully THIS is my opportunity and I will make it to where I want to in life.
