Personal Statement
I have a natural soccer ability and have always played at a high level. I currently play for Canvey Island FC. I have most recently played for Billericay Town U21 who last season won the Ryman North U21 League. I was chosen as one of three U16 players who possessed the ability to play at U21 level.
I captained the team during the 2013/2014 season and was awarded the manager's player of the year award. In the 2014/15 season, I was awarded the players' player of the year award for my role in a side which finished runners up in the Eastern Junior Alliance, the best league in South-East England.
I attend a top grammar school in England, Westcliff High School for Boys, which has been rated outstanding on four occasions by OFSTED (Office for Standards in Education). I achieved 9A*s and 3As at GCSE, placing me amongst the highest achievers in my school.
As well as playing football at a high level, I enjoy studying foreign languages, particularly Romance languages, which my study of Latin is extremely helpful in. Added to this, I take a keen interest in economics. I have been recognized as one of the best sportsmen in my school, being awarded with the responsibility of a sports scholar, where my role is to act as a mentor to younger talented sportsmen further down the school.
